Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
Hydrostatic pressure testing is one of the best safety tests available for natural gas pipelines. The qualified technicians at J&J General Maintenance conduct testing by pressurizing a section of the pipeline with water; this is a higher level than the pipeline uses for natural gas, and helps ensure that the pressure level of the pipeline is safe. J&J General Maintenance has the experienced workforce to conduct hydrostatic pressure testing safely and efficiently.
All required work permits and local agency coordination will be addressed ahead of time by our personnel in order to minimize delay and maximize safety. Our technicians will safely remove, clean, and test one section of pipeline at a time. After sufficient testing time, pipes passing inspection will be dried and returned to their original placement. Pipes that do not pass the hydrostatic pressure testing will be replaced with new, pre-tested pipeline.
Hydrostatic pressure testing is an excellent method for both leak screening, and checking pipeline integrity and durability. Contact your local experts at J&J General Maintenance today to learn more.
